There is a precise moment when inspiration stops being just an abstract idea and becomes a visual urgency. For me, that moment coincided with the creation of “The Invisible Grid.” Today, I am thrilled to share that this series of paintings has been officially selected and published on Booooooom, one of the world’s most prestigious contemporary art platforms.
The Inspiration Behind the Work
We live in an era of constant hyper-connectivity. We often seek refuge and escape, walking along a beach, looking at a coastal vista, or losing ourselves in nature, believing we can unplug. Yet, the reality is that we are never truly alone: an invisible web follows us everywhere, surveilling, connecting, and ultimately confining us.
In this series, I wanted to trap this feeling on canvas. I overlaid stark, rigid geometric structures onto coastal landscapes, boardwalks, and human figures. The grid you see does not just represent the physical tracking of our data; it evokes the invisible mental cages we navigate daily—digital anxiety, paranoia, and existential pressure.
An “Alarm-Red” Palette
To visually expose this friction between natural peace and technological intrusion, I incorporated symbols, words, and a palette dominated by alarm-red tones. The result turns nature into a contested zone, where our sense of autonomy is revealed to be an illusion.
Seeing this deeply personal and conceptual reflection embraced by the Booooooom community is an important milestone in my artistic journey. I want to warmly thank the curatorial team for their space and insight into my work.
